I arrived to Ellis Island
i left Ireland to go to American. When I finaly arrived at Ellis island I had to go through a lot of stuff. . I had to go through a health exam and they asked me a bunch of questions . I passed all of my exam with flying colors. Later I went on to met my husband. -

My Time In American

I got a job at a clothing factory.
It was hard to find a job being Irish. I found one in this clothing factory place.The people here are very rude to me because I dont speak English well . The boss cut off my wages just for yawning. If they think your not working hard enough they will take away your wages. -
My husban and I money got robbed
The money that my husband and I was saving up to go to the west was robbed. We were walking around when some one pulled a gun at us and asked for our money. We gave him all of our money but now we have nothing. We have to wait before we can move west. My husband and I need to start all over again. -
I raised enough money with my husband to move west.
My husban and I finaly raised enough money to go to the west and claim our new land. We worked very hard for a long time.We made plans to take a wagon to gonto the west as soon as we packed all of our things. -
We once again raised enough money and we quickly traveled west.
Once again we raised the money to go to the west, This time we weren`t wasting any time. My husband and I quickly got every thing we need and started to travel west with several other immgrates.We traveled west quickly. -
Native Americans attack
In the middle of the night as we were sleeping. I heard a loud noise. I look out side and there were a bunch of native americans atacking us and taking our stuff. I quilcky woke up my husband that was sleeping by my side. We made it out alive, most did, but some died. -
Arrived in the west
We arrived in Northern Oregon. We built a house on our lawfully given land all thanks to the homestread act. We begam to plant seeds as soon as we arrived and start to create our new lives.
