Mandela's Release
Spending almost 30 years in prison, Mandela was 77 years old when he was relesed. -
Appeal
Aparthied was appealed in 1991. -
Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was elected president. -
New Constitution
The new South African constituition was adopted in May of 1996.
