    I went to High School where I took up running and proved to be a pheonom.

    My college years were full of activity. I co-founded a school newspaper, wrote many articles about democrats, and even took long road trips. One of my road trips was to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1986.

  • I start my journey Into the Wild.

  • I arrive at Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Nevada.

  • I abandon my car after it is damaged by a flash flood. I load some of my belongings into a backpack and sets out on foot. I burn all of my cash to make things "interesting".

    I hitchhike to California. I then hike to the Sierra Nevadas. Through my journey I befriend two extremly down to earth people named Jan and Bob. They called themselvs "rubber tramps". I also meet a man named Wayne Westerberg.

  • I got a ticket for hitchhiking in Willow Creek, California.

  • My car was found by a park ranger.

  • I travel to the Colorado River in Toprock, Arizona. I buy a canoe to get me down the river.

    I am trying to get to the Gulf of Mexico. I met some duck hunters who are willing to drive me down there. I was unable to get there by canoe due to unpassable waters.

    I had to seek refugee in a cave and I had to wait 10 days for a storm to pass.

  • I was caught by immigration.

  • I sent Jan and Bob a postcard with a map so they can find me in Bullhead city.

  • I was driven by Franz to Grand Junction, Colorado

    I work for Wayne Westerberg again.

  • I begin the journey to Alaska.

  • I took a photo next to the official Alaskan highway.

    I have read up on Alaskan wild plants and bought a gun. I started to hike west.

    I have killed a plethora of squirrels and spruce grouse.

  • I shot a moose! I hated killing it, but I need it for I am famished.

  • I had to abandon the moose to the wolfs. I feel even worse about killing it now.

  • I found that the river I crossed over to get here is almost 10 feet bigger. It is uncrossable.

  • I left a note on the bus when I went to collect berries. It was an S.O.S. note. I dont believe that anyone saw it tough.

    I die from starvation.

  • Hunters found my body in the bus.
