3.1 Research Investigation- choose your investigation
Tell your teacher the investigation you have chosen. The school needs to notify the University on the type and amount of materials, equipment and chemicals needed for the all the praticals. -
NCEA 3,2 Ttitration assessment (2 credits)
You have 1 period to complete the titration and the relevant calculations. -

Preliminary class investigations
Do a couple of trials during this period to make sure you know what you need to do when you are at the university. -
Preliminary investigations
Test yout chosen practical in class. Chose a friend who is doing the same investigation and do a test. This is to ensure that you know what you are doing when you are at the university on the 5th to do the full investigation. Familiarise yourself with the change in colour at the end points. -
Trip to Canterbury University (8:45am to 3:00pm)
Please wait by the hall to catch the bus. Be there at 8:45am. Do not go to form. We shall try to leave as early as possible. Please wear suitable clothing. Do not come in open toed footwear. Follow laboratory rules. Bring your own lunch or you can but food from the cafe at the university. You are not allowed to eat in the lab. -

Research, review and analyse your results
Use your time wisely during the holidays. Carry out further background research. Analyse your results to see if it makes sense. Start sriting your report. Enjoy your holidays!!! -
Independant Study Day
If you need assistance especially with the calculation you may see your chemistry teachers for assistance. If your practical results do not look good you may do further tests in class during your normal chemistry periods. -
