Rudolf Virchow, a German physiologist/physician/pathologist, he added the third part to the cell theory the original one is in greek and says Omnis cellula e cellula.translated to english it is as all cells develop only from existing cells.He was also the first one to propose that diseased cells came from healthy cells.

Theodor Schwann

Theodor Schwann had got to a point of conclusion, that not only plants but animal tissue is composed of cells too.Also came up with two cell theories 1)cells are organisms and organisms consist of two or more cells 2)the cell is the basic unit of structure for all organisms

Matthias Jakob Schleiden

Matthias Jakob Schleiden is a german botanist (a biologist specializing in the study of plants) said/thought that all plant tissues are composed of cells, also that calls are the building blocks of plants

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek
