    Month 2
    During the 8 week period, the baby has grown to .63in and is now an embryo. Sex organs of baby start to become more clear.
  • Month 1

    Month 1
    During the first four weeks, the baby is .1-.2mm and considered as an ovum. Face and neck,lungs,stomach, and liver start to develop.
  • Month 3

    Month 3
    By 12 weeks the baby is now 2 inches and is nearly considered a fetus. Eyelids and ears, tip of nose is visible, arms and legs are well formed. Baby's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly. Baby at 12 weeks is opening and closing his or her fingers and curling toes. And baby's brain is developing fast!

    By the start of the second trimester of pregnancy, all of the major structures of the brain are in place and functioning. From this point on, the brain continues to develop and mature. The brain connects to all parts of the body during this time, and the connections are complete by the seventh month, in a process known as synaptogenesis. Rapid brain and head growth occurs during the eighth month. At this time, babies in the womb are known to be able to recognize their mother’s voice.
