History of Computing & Internet

  • First Computer (In General)

    First Computer (In General)
The first ever computer was the "Analytical Engine" as you may recognise it. It was invented in 1837 by the english mathematician and computer pioneer Charles Babbage. Unfortunately the invention was never built when the inventor was alive. The computer was originally invented to do repetitive calculations quickly and accurately. After working on his revolutionary difference engine, designed to aid in navigation calculations.

  • First digital computer

The first digital computer was invented. This will allow more data to be released and read easily. Massive machine was the world's first large-scale electronic general-purpose digital computer. It was made by John Vincent Atanasoff (who was also a physicist). While the project was resolved in the 1930s (1937) it was actually introduced to the world in 1946. The first digital computer was Turing-complete, and able to solve large class of numerical problems.
  • Arpanet created

It was first established then. ARPANET created - short for Advanced Research Projects Agency Network, it began developing 1966 by the us. The purpose of the creation was to make it easier for people to access computers, improve computer equipment, and to have a more effective communication method for the military as well as among manly scientific users at the connected institutions.
  • Birth of the Personal Computer

    Birth of the Personal Computer
"KENBAK-1" (1971) was the first computer that was used for personal use. But the term "personal computer" was introduced when Ed Roberts invented the "Altair 8800" in 1975. Both computers sold for the price of $750 (which is ridiculous if we think about the quality of these PC's compared to what we got now). Ed Roberts is most often known as "the father of the personal computer".
  • world wide web invented

1989 … World wide web invented - Tim Berners-Lee with the help of Robert Caillau invented the world wide web (also known as www) in 1989. which is now 30 years old. The World Wide Web is a network of online content that is formatted in HTML and accessed via HTTP. The World Wide Web was originally designed in 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee while he was a contractor at CERN. It's used as a development of information, that includes interaction with people all over the world.
