  • First Month

    First Month
    1. Kick and jerk arms and legs in a uncoordinated way 2.Keep their hands closed like a fist 3.Turn their heads when something touches their cheek
  • Second Month

    Second Month
    1.Good head control when held in a sitting position.
    2.Fists remain unclenched half of the time.
    3.When on his or her belly, can hold up the head and may even push up on the arms.
  • Third Month

    Third Month
    1.Follows moving objects with head.
    2.Starts using hand and eye coordination.
    3.Begins babbling.
  • Fourth Month

    Fourth Month
    1.Can hold chest and head much higher up off of the ground when lying on his belly.
    2.Can roll from belly to back.
    3.Can stay siting up but needs supervision.
  • Fifth Month

    Fifth Month
    1.Baby will begin rocking and moving feet( means they are wanting to crawl).
    2.Tighter grasp.
    3.Can hold bottle.
  • Sixth Month

    Sixth Month
    1.Rolls over both ways.
    2.Can sit with no support.
    3.When held standing baby will bounce.
  • Seventh Month

    Seventh Month
    1.Begins crawling.
    2.Can eat on their own (bottle, cup, possibly spoon)
    3.Can support weight while standing but having arms or hands held.
  • eighth month

    eighth month
    1.Can pull themselves up to standing position.
    2.Crawl toward and pick up things they want.
    3.Have the ability to grab things with pointer finger and thumb.
  • Ninth Month

    Ninth Month
    1.Stands while holding on to things.
    2.Crawls well.
    3.Moves things smoothly from one hand to the next.
  • Tenth Month

    Tenth Month
    1.Can squat to sit.
    2.Can figure out how to put little things in small things.
    3.Can stand up grabbing on something from seated position.
  • Eleventh Month

    Eleventh Month
    1.Tries taking a few steps.
    2.Can stand on toes or one leg.
    3.Trying to climb.
  • Twelfth Month

    Twelfth Month
    1.Responds to their name.
    2.Walk on their own.
    3.Begins pretend play.
