Happy Birthday
Today was my birthday, and a crummy one at that. i lost my job because i got in a fight at my work in the market over the price of 3 loaves of bread. i don't know how i'm going to pay for my rent, barely scraping by as it is. -

On to America
Yep, i lost my house. my landlord said i have to be out by tommorow. i've made arrangements to work on a ship over to america for poor wage. i keep seeing skin rashes on my stomach and i'm praying it's not Typhus. -
Ellis island
After the long voyage with crummy conditons i finally got to Ellis island where much to my dismay i was stopped for typhus. They told me i had to Stay quarintined until i was healed, and after 2 weeks i can finally set foot in America -
Hooray!!!
Today was a success. I got a job working on the rail road in a town in southern oklahoma. it pays well and i will soon be able to afford my own house. There is much to be grateful for. -
I can't believe it
i can't believe that after working so hard for two years, a silly thing such as throwing a derailer could get me fired so fast. I saw the train grinding along and i new i would get fired. Why can't i just keep a job. Money's tight and i don't know how i'm going to survive winter -
Goodbye
winter has ste in and i'm afraid this is the end. Cholera has hit me full fledged and i'm living on the streets begging for food. Why this has happened to me i know not. but i can sincerely say america was not what i had hoped.
