Annelie Marie was born to the small family of Otto and Edith Frank as their second daughter. -
Anne moves
Anne and her family move to Holland because the tension in Germany was too strong and they are in fear that they will get taken by the Nazis because they are Jewish. -
An evil man takes over
Hitler took over Germany, exiling jews and taking them to concentration camps. He put curfews on them and shamed them by forcing them to wear yellow Stars of David on their clothes. He recruits the Nazis to enforce his tyranny over the Jewish people. -
Her first real friend
For Anne's thirteenth birthday, she receives a diary from her father. She refers to it as her "only true friend". -
The letter that changed her life.
Anne's sister had received a letter from the Nazis asking her to come to a train to go to a concentration camp. Her parents were afraid, as they should be, and rushed their already made plans to go into hiding. -
The Annex
Anne and her family, along with the Van Daan family, had to hide in the secret hiding place behind her father's work place. If you went up the staircase to the bookshelf, it opened and led to the secret apartment behind the company. It was small, but the two families found a way to live comfortably.07 -
Another person in the annex
A dentist who was a jew as well, Dr. Dussel, joined them in the annex. There wasn't a lot of room, but they made do with what room they had. -
Another camp.
Anne and Margot were transported to the Bergen Belsen camp before they died because of the bad hygiene that was spreading disease. -
Sold out
Somehow, the Nazis found the secret annex. Probably tipped off by someone who knew. We don't know how it was found, but they went in and took all the inhabitants to concentration camps. -
Concentration camp
After being taken to a transit camp. The Franks, the Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel, were transported to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
