  • Basic Integration

    Basic Integration
Today in class, we went over basic rules for integration, doing some examples of simple integration. For the most part, I have no trouble with these topics but I do need to review some of the rules for inverse trig. Also, we covered Reimann sums, which are easy enough, and the use of summations to estimate area. I would definitely like to do some practice problems on my own for the latter.
  • Differentials Equations and Logistics

    Differentials Equations and Logistics
Covered differential equations and logistic equations. I do not think that differential equations will present any particular difficulty, since we started doing them in AB and thus have more practice. As for logistics, I think that I'll have to go over how to derive the euqation from the original differential equation again. Once you get the final equations, most of the manipulations that need to be done are really self-explanatory, though.
  • Polar Test

    Polar Test
Took the test on Polar equations today. Ultimately, I'll need to see the scored exam to see how well I did and what areas I still need to work on, but I think that I understand polar functions comparatively well. I don't think that this is one of the areas that I'll need to work on as much for AP Exam.
  • Summations and Taylor Series

    Summations and Taylor Series
Reviewed Taylor Series in class with examples and a practice quiz of basic Maclaurin series. This is definitely my weakest area. I'm really glad that we got so many review materials for this topic, and I'm starting to better understand how to derive the Taylor series' formulas rather than simply memorizing them.
  • AP Partner exam

Took the first portion of the partner exam today.
  • AP Partner Practice Test part I

AP Partner Practice Test part I
Today we took the second part of a multiple choice test. I honestly expected it to be much harder than it actually was, but I realised that I really need to review Taylor series.
  • Advanced Integration Techniques

We went over advanced integration techniques (integration by parts) today. I am fairly confident in this topic and don't think that it will pose a particularly large problem for me on the test.
  • Series

    Series
We went over a powerpoint which covered most aspects of series in depth and worked through some examples. I understand just about all of the conceptual topics with series, but I still need to work on memorizing the important Taylor series. It's so convenient that the Taylor series for ln(x+1) is the integral of 1/(1+s) series.
  • Got back old tests

Due to the senior picture, we had less time in class, but we did get back both of our practice AP exams (partner and take-home). I am pleased with my performance on both overall, though there remain some topics that I still need to go over in some more detail (series).
  • AP Psychology exam/home review

I took the AP exam for psychology today, so I was absent from class. That said, I looked over the practice test which we got back earlier last week and studied series some more. I think that I'm getting much better at the latter.
  • Day before the big game

Did some final review activities in class, took a field trip, and got mechanical pencils. Not much left to do in preparation, honestly, and I do feel confident about this test in particulary
  • Big Game

Had the big game today. Aside from the first part of the multiple choice, which got pretty tough towards the end, I do not think that anything was particualrly hard. I feel really good about the game.
