    A deragatory term applied to wealthy and powerful 19th century American businessmen, By the late 1800's this term had moved to apply to businessmen who used exploitative practices to amass their wealth.

    Fought from 1861 to 1865 between the US Union (North) and several southern slave states that declared their secession and formed the confederate US states (south). The origin issue was slavery. This resulted in the confederacy's defeat, abolishing slavery and starting Reconstruction.

    A global war centered in Europe, began on July 28th, 1914 and lasted until November 11th, 1918. Split into the central powers of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria, and the Allies, US, France, UK and Russia. The system of trenches was used in the war. The Allies won the game.
