Born in Metepec, Mexico to a family of six: Jose(Dad), Anastacia (mom), and three siblings (David 26, Uriel 23, Selene 20). -
started walking and talking
Parents said that i began to say agua at the same time that i began to stand and walk -
arrived at the USA
Father in the US already insisted that we travel as well and my sibling and i came to the US. -
1st grade
Upon arrival, i was introduce to first grade after 3 days. i was sent back to kindergarden by my teacher to learn everything in english since i did not speak it. -
Tennis life
I began to play tennis and began to follow after my brother Uriel who was a good role model to me -
middle school
I entered middle school being one of the smartest kids in my grade. I took Advanced classes in which i took pre algebra in 8th grade. -
Freshman
I started to play tennis again at Louisburg high school after a 2 year gap of not playing. I was the number one seed with three senior in the team.I was also number 16 rank in the 9th grade class but only had two honors classes compared to the rest. My greatest accomplishment was beating roanoke rapids twice. I beat Davis at #1 singles and #1 doubles at different times but both were 8-1 losses with me being the one win -
Car
I began to make payment to my brother for my car that i bought myself with no help from anyone. It was a white jeep cherokee which was perfectly fine until the drive shaft went bad. during the summer, I fixed alot of components and also added a three inch lift and orange headliner which i did all of the work to the car myself. It soon became a project car that i gave to my son. -
Senior year
I was the number one seed still and made it to the State playoff in which i lost to a kid from the west end of North Carolina. I graduated number 13 in the senior class but never did try too hard in school. I ended my senior year with a full rid to NC State university. -
college bound
I bagan my biochemical education at NC State. I was very nervous about heading to state and about not staying at home anymore. -
NC State and job offer
Graduation day came and i graduated with a magna cumm laude and was very proud of myself. I had an internship at novozyhms and began to work there full time after graduation. -
marriage
I married a wonderful girl who i had known since third grade. The wedding was very well organized. My mother was proud of my accomplishments in education and life overall. -
first babies born
I started my parental life the hard way by having two twin boys who were very chunky at birth. The two soon becaome facinated with tennis and cars like me. -
third baby
Birth was given to my first daughter who was also interested in tennis later in life and became a proffesional tennis player and ranked 132nd in the world. -
Winston salem open
I entered the Winston salem open and won the tournament when i was 28. That was the time when i was at the top of my game but could not focus mainly on tennis because i had a job at novozyhmes. -
fourth baby
My second daughter was born and focused mostly in school academics but was also a fan of tennis she became a doctor and would become a great one at that. -
Work raise
I received a promotion at work and began to get paid what i was dreaming on getting paid since i began to think of engineering. My family went to the lake to celebrate and....... -
lake house
and..... I bought a lake house because everyone loved the lake. This only happened because of the raise that i received at work. -
buy a large building
My brother the Uriel, the other engineer, and i decide to buy a building and fix it to begin our business that we had dreamed of since we knew we would move up in life. -
finish building renovation
We work on the place ourselves and finished remodeling it to become a tortilla and meats shop for hispanics around franklin county. -
Grand opening
We finally opened up our partnership business and invest time and money in the business while both working at Nova. -
first time grandpa
One of my twin boys had a son that was focused and becoming pro. he was the first to make me feel old by being called grandpa. -
retire
I would retire from nova before my brother to manage the business which had increased profits by a great measure. I began to devote more time to my kids as well during this. The business was for when we all would retire and needed something to do. -
Elders Winstom salem
I entered the tournament again but in the elders championship this time. I again won and regained a feeling of youth. -
US open!
I with the family took a trip to the US open grand slam which was a great joy for my parents and the whole family. -
Dad dies
My father passed away at a very old age of 89. He's death gave everyone a sense of displeasure. He died while playing at home with his great grandchildren. He died knowng that his sacrifices were well spent on his kids. -
mom dies
My mother died at age of 93. She was the caretaker of everyone at the house. Her passing made everyone sad but also helped us know that my father wasnt alone anymore. -
Grand Child makes finals at US open
My grandchildbecame rank 24 in the world and won the 2068 US Open. That was his highest accomplishment in his tennis career. He would soon have kids. -
Great grandpa and 50 year aniversary
My Grandson had a baby boy on the day of my aniversary. I was delighted to have lived long enough see that. He and the rest of my bloodline would all be facinated with tennis. -
last moments
I have lived my long life mainly in the U.S. and will travel to live my last 6 years in Mexico just like i lived my first six -
