Day I was born
I was adopted when I was three weeks old. The day I was born, my mom was a nurse in the room across the hall. I never thought that I would be where I am today. -
My dad
My dad has been my bigest supportor when I was youunger. He taught me to work hard, and never take no for an answer. He taught me how to ride a motorcycle, and ice skate, and everything else I would need to know. Without him or my mom, I would not of had the oppirtunites that i did. -
Wagner dance studio
I danced from the time I was five, until I was sixtenn. My dance teacher taught me to believe in myself, even when I didn't think that I could do it. She taught me the confidence that I needed to excel in not only dancing, but anything that I put my mind to. -
Little brother was born
My brother was adopted five years after I was. We both were adoted from different families. Being a big sister was the best thing, I always had someone to play with and dress up. He taught me to be a role model. -
Started playing hockey
I was the only girl on every time that I ever played on, until i was about 15. I learned how to be a team player, and how to communicate with the other kids. -
My nana
My nana was another big part of my life. We shared the same birthday, so that was always the best part of the year for me. She taught me to fight even when you didnt have the energy. She was a strong indivdual and continued that way until she passed away. I strive everyday to make her proud of me. -
My mom
My mom was the biggest part of my life, and I am lucky to have her. She taught e how to strong, when she was battling cancer, and how to be a big sister to my little brother. Without her, I would not the person that I am today. -
World trade center
Me and my family went to know yet often, and the year before the towers fell, my family and my grandme were up there. As a young kid that was a big experience fo rme beacuse the next year they were gone. It taught me that nothing is permanent. -
Winter olympics
I got the opportunity to go to the winter olympics in 20002. That was an expierence that I will never forget. It was a cultural experience because I got to see other sports and events that people are passsionate about. -
DHYA hockey team
Throughout my childhood I played hockey, until i was sixteen. I learned many things that sports do for children. I learned to wokr with other children, and I learnred that hard work pays off, and won a championship.
