Began nursing
After my dad had died when I was 16, I had to help my mother with nursing and making an income. -
Graduated nurse training
I graduated nurse training when I was 20 and became a full time nurse, this was very stressful but I had my friends with me so they helped a lot. -
Got married
I got married a fortnight after I graduated from nursing training. Being married made me feel like I had someone who would always be there for me, I was so blessed to find someone as amazing as my husband. -
Had my first child
Having my first child was a very beautiful experience, raising such a gentleman was a great pleasure of mine, but there were a few moment adoption was an option, haha. -
Had my second child
The second child was a bit difficult as me and my husband jack were working full time, so when she was 2 months old we put both of them into day care until they were 5 years old that's when they went to there first school. -
Scott (my first child) got married
This day was truly magical seeing my handsome young man getting married and becoming even more independent. Sadly he got divorced In 1990 but it was for the best as he is now married to a wonderful women named Fiona. -
Kym (my second child) got married
This day was extremely tears for me seeing a wonderful man promising to love my daughter forever, he has kept that promise for 22 years. -
My husband passed away
We were married for 43 years so this was devastating for me and my whole family, I have still not fully recovered from this event and I don't think I will ever be over it, but I know he is with god now. -
I sold my unit in tweed heads
This was such a great time for me as it was the start of a new adventure in Sydney with my kids and grandchildren. -
Bought a unit at the country club in belrose
Meeting all the lovely people from the country club was a great joy, I have made so many new friends and am very keen to make more.
