THE BABY IS BORN! -
Crying
A baby usually begins to actually produce tears around 3-12 weeks old! -
Vocalization
A baby begins to vocalize after about 2 months or so, about the same time as it begins to smile -
Smiling
A baby begins to smile between 1-3.5 months usually! -
Visualizing
An infant begin to detect light and motion when they are born but its not until about 3-4 months that they can begin to distinguish colors and focus on small objects -
Teething
A baby usually begins teething around 6 months, but it is common that they will start around 4 months. -
Neck strength
A baby usually starts bobbing its head around 4 months but doesn't have strong enough neck muscles to support its own head until 6 months. -
Crawling
Baby's usually begin to start crawling between 6-10 months! -
Walking
Babies will usually take their first steps between 9-12 months with or without! -
Talking
A baby can begin to understand simple words like "no" and "bye-bye" by about 9 months but don't begin to say their first words till about 12 months.
