    Created by Commodore Business Machines. The first personal computer to sell more than a million units. It was meant to be more affordable than the Commodore PET. More affordable, means more accessible. This allowed more people to use this technology.
  • IBM Model 5150

    IBM Model 5150
    Invented by Philip Don Estridge. IBM had brand recognition which made it popular. This popularity lead to a rise in copycats. These copycats lead to a diversity in software, which we still have today.
  • Apple Macintosh

    Created by Steve Jobs. One of the first computers with a graphical user interface. As well as the first successful mouse driven computer. Applications such as MacWrite were introduced.
  • Nintendo Entertainment System

    Created by Nintendo. Before the release of this iconic gaming system at home consoles were on the decline. After it's release there was a major increase in sales. As well as an introduction to one of the most recognizable video game characters, Super Mario.
  • IBM PS/2

    IBM PS/2
    Created by IBM. The first IBM computer to have a mouse. It used the Intel 80386 chip. This computer also is seen as the product that made 3.5 inch floppy disks and video graphics array commonplace in IBM computers.
