Portions of Russia got heavy rains, and by the end of the growing season all their crops have failed. The agriculture has failed in the early 1600s for Russia . This is important because due to the failure there were widespread starvation in 1602 and 1603. -

As the century was coming to an ending, the farming technology has advanced from hand tools to tools that needed horses and steam power. It important because it made everything easier and faster. People got to get more stuff done on the farms and they would be less tired. -

It made getting property harder and made the taxes more expensive, so some people lost their land. (The land got more expensive so some people couldn't afford it). -

The importance was that most of the population was farmers. It was all the people doing labor. -

Cotton Gin
Eli Whitney created cotton gin, with the use of a cotton gin, a single person could clean the amount of cotton balls as 50 slaves working by hand. This was important because it made work go faster and it impacted the economy of South Greatly. -
The first Tax
The federal government authorized it's first tax on a domestic product in order to reduce the national debt. This was important because the farming and agriculture grew/expanded wordly. -
Public Land Act
It was important because the Public Land Act opened uncontested western lands and territories.It impacted the farmers by people wanting to expand to the United States.
