Begins to put two words together,names common objects and people. Understands "no" but ignores. Finds hidden objects. Recognizes themselves as a seperate person. -
Baby's second christmas!
Turns several pages of a book at a time, picks up small objects with thumb and forefinger, moves objects from hand to hand. May walk alone or while holding a caregiver's hand, sits down without help, slides down stairs backwards, one step at a time. -
1 to TERRIBLE TWOS!
Uses two-three-word sentences , knows about 500 words. Follows simple directions, and identifies colors. Uses " no" frequently. -
Baby is 1 turning 2!
Stacks from two - four blocks, grasps crayons with a fist and scribbles. Walks well, jumps in place, climbs up or down one stair, and pulls toys with wheels. -
Terrible two- three years old
Uses longer sentences, knows about 700 words. Follows two-part directions. Sorts by color and shape -
terrible twos - three year olds!
Stacks six blocks, turns one page of a book a time, picks up objects from the floor without losing balance. Walks with coordination and confidence, jumps off the bottom step, pushes self on wheeled toys. -
25-30 months
Uses longer sentences, Knows about 900 words. Follows three-part directions, sorts by color, shape, and size. -
25-30 months old!
Stacks eight blocks, screw lids on and off containers, draws circles and horizontal and vertical lines, alternates feet going up stairs but not going down. Runs but may not be able to stop smoothly, throws a ball overhead but inaccurately. -
3 year olds!!
Stacks nine or ten blocks, cuts with scissors, draws recognizable pictures, jumps up and down in place with both feet, catches a ball with arms straight, and rides a tricycle with training wheels. -
3 years old!
Have conversations with other children and their parents. Develop imagination, memory, perception, and problem-solving. Recognizes self in photographs. Becomes more skilled in putting together puzzles. Identify familiar objects by touch.
