The French Revolution is the period when France went from being ruled by the king to a republican which was ruled by the people so that everyone was equally important, This occurred from 1789 until 1799. -
Crossing of The Blue Mountains
In 1813 the crossing of the blue mouatains expeddition was held by Gregory Blaxland, William Lawson and William Charles Wentworth. It became the first sucessful crossing of the blue mountains in New South Wales by European settlers. As it was the first sucessful crossing this allowed them to use the land west of the mountains for there farming. This farming established Australias first inland settlement which was in Bathurst. -
European trade with Africa establsihed
In 1850 The European trade with Africa was established in. Africa's main source of money was the mineral resources. A colony in central Africa called The Belgian Congo had unknown wealth in copper and tin. Businesses established cash-crop plantations to grow peanuts, palm oil, cocoa, and rubber. Because of this the farmers couldn't grow the foods needed to feed their families which resulted in starvation. -
Landing in Galipoli
In 1915 the landing in Gallipoli occurred. This was the first arrival of anzac troops in world war one. Over 12,000 troops arrived at the cove on boats but the Turkish army were already unexpectedly there waiting and hiding ready to shoot, 2000 soldiers were killed. Australia was forced to participate in the war as they were allies of the British troops. They chose Gallipoli because they thought it would be a way to escape fighting for a while as they didn’t know Gallipoli was founded. -
The end of world war l
At 5 am on the 11th of November Germany signed the Armistice of Compiègne in a railroad car parked in a French forest right near the front lines. World war l ended at 11 am. The terms of agreement were that all fighting must stop at exactly 11 am that morning.
