581-618 AD was the time span which the Sui was around for. It was known for it's examinatjon system, which would determine what position citizens would fall under.

618-907 AD. Tang enlarged their territory and bettered their army. Had great achievements in regards to politics, economy, and military based. Their emperors were very wise, which was partly why they were so successful.

Around from 1271-1368 AD. Discovered by Mongolians. It was the first unified minority in Chinese history. Also had a great economy.

1839-1842. China was addicted to Opium because it was a drug that Britain bribed them with. Also, China went to war with Britain for opium but lost poorly.

1870's-1890's- An era of Japanese westernization, in which helped them become a world power. Went through quick industrialization and defeated China in 1895 for Korea.
