    What is the event - The German Blitzkrieg is a method of offensive warfare that was designed to strike fast at an enemy using a mobile machine, including armored tanks and air support.
    Why did it happen - The Blitzkrieg happened so that Germany could avoid a long war in World War ll.
    How it impacted war - The Blitzkrieg helped Germany take over almost all of Europe, the Blitzkrieg became the new revolutionary aspect of warfare
  • Battle of France

    During the spring of 1940, the German attack on the North-West side of Europe, successfully took over not only France but three other countries. This battle had a process with two other operations. This battle ruined and tore apart the economy.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    On December 7, 1941, the naval base known as Pearl Harbor was taken by surprise as the Japanese attacked them with fighter planes, they managed to destroy or damage almost all of the facilities on the base. It happened because the Japanese intended the attack as taking action to keep the United States from interfering with their military plans. It impacted war because suddenly after the U.S. declared war on Japan which was the start of WWII.
  • Wannsee Conference

    Wannsee Conference
    This event was a meeting within the some of the Nazi officials in the suburb to plan the last process to solve the war. Officials from several government ministries were also at this conference. During this time is when the Nazi's leaders killed around 11 million Jews and than as time continued another roughly 6 million.

    The Midway had an aircraft from the Japanese which they had fought and damaged the U.S. base. it happened because during this battle they were hoping to successfully take over the Pacific Fleet which would then lead them into taking over Pearl Harbor. The impact was the growth of Japan and the Pacific.

    This battle was during the month of July in 1942, which started as a military operation that contained Russia and the Nazi Germans. The Nazi's tried to take over the city of Stalingrad and also take over Russia.

    This invasion was during the year of 1943, in this invasion they imported all of the heroes from Africa to Sicily. This idea came to them during the year of 1943.
  • D-Day

    The D-Day was an invasion that was performed by the allies of Western Europe. Approximately 156,000 British, Canadian and American forces were spread along five beaches on the coast of Normandy. This battle had the result of an allied victory.

    This battle was the very last offensive the German's could do on the Western front. This battle had the mission of stopping the Allied invasion and split the Allied lines. The Allies than won the battle, but than, the Germans pulled a surprise attack, which caused them more damage than the Allies.

    VE stands for “Victory in Europe” and this day is known as the end of World War II in Europe. It happens to mark a great day in history for the Europeans, for people to remember the day that Germany surrendered. It impacted the world by having a day to celebrate the millions of people that died during World War II.

    The Battle of Iwo Jima was located 750 miles off the coast of Japan, in February of 1945 the American forces invaded the island which started the battle that lasted for a long five weeks. It is known to be one the bloodiest battles of World War II. It’s said that the battle was an important and symbolic take over of the Japanese homeland. This battle impacted the war because the landing strip on the island of Iwo Jima became an emergency landing area for more than two thousand air forces.

    During 1945, the United States dropped a bomb known as the "Atomic Bomb" on the city of Hiroshima. Within a few days they then dropped a bomb on Nagasaki. The dropping of atomic bombs was a very big step in WWII, it helped the U.S. win battles against other countries. The estimate deaths due to the Atomic bomb is around 199,000 people.

These camps happened because of Hitler and his issues with Jewish people. The impact these camps have on people is still affecting them today.

    This battle is known as the last big and serious battle of WWII but sadly one of the bloodiest. During this battle, the Navy lost over 18,000 marine and army forces on the island.
