Germany invades the Soviet Union
Hitler back stabs Stalin because he was afraid Stalin was going to back stab him. The effect of this was the Soviet Union joined America and Britain's team by default and America starts to help them.

There was a massive expansion of the Soviet Union because Germany felt the Soviet Union would try and invade them first. The effect of this was Germany lost and they now had to fight a two front war.

Bataan Death March
Surrender of the Bataan Peninsula on the main Philippine island of Luzon to the Japanese. The day after Pearl harbor, the Japanese began their invasion of the Philippines. This effected the war because approximately 75,000 Filipino and American troops were taken to prison camps.

America beats Japan in a naval battle since there were major advances in code breaking and America was able to counter Japan's planned ambush. This victory was the turning point of the war in the Pacific.

Warsaw Ghetto uprising
The Jewish ghetto in Nazi-occupied Warsaw started an armed riot because of the deportations to extermination camps. The effect of this was it inspired other revolts in extermination camps and ghettos throughout German-occupied Eastern Europe.
