WW2 Timeline

  • Hitler was appointed the Chancellor of Germany.

  • The Reichstag building was intentionally set on fire. Historians now believe that the Nazis purposefully set the building into flames to have an excuse to lay down more regulations for Jews to follow.

  • One of the first big laws that took away Jew’s right was published. It was called the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service and it stated that all those who Hitler considered below him, including Jews, were forced to resigned from state service.

  • The Laws for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor was published.

  • Anti-Jewish riots and violent acts took place. That night is now known as Kristallnacht Pogrom, or the Night of Broken Glass.
