Born the fourth child of Klara Polzl and Alois Schickelgruber Hitler, who was healthy and baptized a Roman Catholic. Born in the Upper Austrian border town Braunau am Inn, Austria just across the border of German Bavaria. Through his early years, his mother was scared of losing him and lavished much care and affection on him while his father was busy working and bee keeping. -

Hitler's father retires from the Austrian civil service
An important event that happened in Hitler's life was the retirement of his father, Alois Schickelgruber Hitler at the age of 58. With his father at home and going to school meant double supervision, discipline, and regimentation of his teacher and parents. His father was used to giving orders and having them obeyed and expected it out of his children. -
Hitler goes to Public School
At the age of six, in May 1895 Adolf Hitler entered the first grade in public school in the village of Fischlham that is near Linz, Austria. The unstrained care free days that he enjoyed came to an end as he entered primary school. -
Klara Hitler gave birth to another child
Klara gave birth to another child a girl,Paul in 1896. The Hitler family was now occupied with Adolf, little brother Edmund, little sister Paula, older half-brother Alois Jr., older half-sister Angela, and the two stay at home parents. -
Alois Jr. Hitler Runs Away
A littler after 1896, Hitler's oldest brother brunt his father's discontent including harsh words and occasional beatings. A year later at the age of 14, he had enough of his treatment and ranaway from home. This would put Adolf Hitler in line for the same treatment at the age of 7. -
Family move to Linz
In 1898, the HItler family moved to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria. Adolf HItler was seeking a career in visual arts and fought with his father because he wanted Adolf to enter the Habsburg civil service. -
First Experience of Death
A while after they moved to Linz, Hitler's littler brother Edmund died at the age of 6 and it was hit first experice with real death and he handled it pretty bad. Matters worse, he could see the cemetery where his brother was buried outside their home. -
Secondary School
In September of 1900, Hitler's father sent him to the technical high school in the city of Linz because he wanted him to follow his footsteps and become a civil servant. -
Father's Death
In January of 1903, his father had died of lung hemorrage. This meant for 13 year old Adolf to become in charge in the HItler house. -
Drops out of high school
At the age of sixteen, Hitler drops out of high school. -
The death of Klara Hitler née Pölzl, his mother
Klara Hitler née Pölzl , was dying of breast cancer in the autumn of 1907. Before she died, Hitler pursuaded her to let him pursue his dream to become an artist. He failed the acceptance of the Vienna Academy of the Arts and failed at gaining acceptance. -
Hitler moves to Vienna
Early 1908, a few months after the death of his mother, Hitler moves to Vienna in the hopes of renewing efforts to win acceptance in the Academy of Arts. In October 1908, Hitler tried a second time to gain admission in the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. With the city of Vienna having two million people had the Jewish population of under two hundred thousand. In the middle class, Anti- Semitism was considered fashionable and Hitler became Anti-Semitism. -
Gift from his Aunt
In the winter of 1909, he recieved a gift from his aunt, he began to pait water scences of Vienna for a business parter and made enough to live off of until he departed for Munich. -
Intrest in Politics
At the age of 21, he was now starting to become more interested in politics as he watched events unfold around him in Vienna. -
Hitler Leaves Vienna
At 24 years of age, to avoid mandatory military service in the Austria army and also avoivded serving the multi cultural Austrian Empire he despised, he moved. In May, Hitler moves to the German Fatherland and settles in Munich. -

Celebrating the Proclamation of War
On August 1, 1914, an ethusiastic crowd including Adolf Hitler gathered in the public plazza of Munich and celebrated the German proclamation of war. A couple days later he volunteered to join the German Army. -
HItler Gets Wounded
Hitler got wounded in the leg by a shell fragment during the Battle of Somme. -
