Japanese Invasion of China
When the Kwantung Army Empire of Japan invaded Manchuria immediately after the Mukden incident. The Mukden incident was where caused the invasion. The effects of the invasion was there were 10 million deaths and the foundation of China was destroyed. -
German Blitzkrieg
Its a military tactic calculated to create psychological shock and resultant disorganization of enemy forces through warfare. The reason why they did this was to avoid a long war and wanted to defeat their enemy quickly. The effect it had was it was a new wave of warfare and how people handled war. -
Operation Barbarossa
It is the codename for the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union and it was planned by Nazi Germany and they would clearly fail. The reason they did this was because they wanted to take over western Soviet Union so they can populate Germans and completely destroy the Soviet's fighting power. This had huge effect on the war because this forced Germany to fight in a two-front war. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor was when a surprise attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu by the Japanese Navy Air Service. The reason the Japanese did this was because the U.S. was planning on interfering with the Japanese invasion of Dutch East Indies. But the effect was devastating, nearly 20 American ships were destroyed along with 300 planes. There was 2,403 soldiers and civilians that died that day and this event dragged the U.S. into WWII. -
Wannsee Conference
This is was the meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany and Schutzstaffel leaders held in the Berlin suburb. They met together to discuss the "Final Solution" to the war. -

The Bataan Death March was where 60k to 80k American and Filipino prisoners were forced to march to where they would be loaded onto trains. -

The Battle of Midway was a fight between the Japanese and the Americans Navy. It was a part of revenge for Pearl Harbor on the U.S. part. This ultimately the turning point of WWII -
Battle of Stalingrad
The Battle of Stalingrad was the fight between the Germans and the Soviet Union and was how the Soviet's defense stopped the Germans from taking over. This fight happened because the Germans wanted to get rid of the Soviet Union's land and take it for themselves. This was the beginning of the end for Germany and their control. -
D-Day
D-Day was where Allied forces invaded Northern France by landing on their beaches. It happened because at that time it was ran by the Germans and Hitler so the plan was to try and overthrow him. This really helped get rid of the German's power in WWII and had to fight another two-front war again that they can't handle. -
Battle of the Bulge
The Battle of the Bulge was where the Germans launched the last major offensive plan of the war in attempt to push the Allied from Northern France and Northwestern Belgium. The reason it happened was because Hitler thought that if he did this then he would split up the Allied. About 36,528 soldiers died all together and the Germans were unsuccessful. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
The Battle of Iwo Jima was where the United States Marine Corps and Navy landed and captured the island of Iwo Jima from the Japanese. This happened because the U.S. figured the islands could be used to invade mainland Japan. This worked for the U.S. and they were ready to set up and take down Japan. -
Liberation of concentration camps
When the Americans took over the camps and let all the Jews free. This left over 20,000 prisoners free. -
VE Day
VE Day also known as Victory in Europe Day is the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of WWII and the German's surrender their armed forces. This was the fall of Germany and they were running out of power because of too much war. -
Dropping of the Atomic Bombs
The first atomic bombs used in war were dropped by the U.S. over the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This was the revenge for what happened at Pearl Harbor and this ultimately ended the war. This wiped out over 90% of the city and killed over 80,000 people instantly. -
VJ Day
VJ Day also known as Victory over Japan Day was where Japan finally surrendered and dropped out of WWII and bringing the war to an end. The bombs that were dropped was the final thing that needed to happen in the war and made the Japanese surrender.
