Japanese Invasion of China
An encounter that occured between Chinese and Japanese troops and in this encounter their were some arguements that happened betweened the troops.Japan declared war against China. Another reason why war also starte was that Japan wanted to spread their territory throughout China but China did not let them. Also during the war many people in China died and any of them left becausethey were scared they will die. After the war was over China was not in a very good place. -
Germany's Invasion of Poland
Ever since Hitler got his position he wanted to by allies with Poland but it did not happen. On this day Germany invaded Poland and the Polish army was defeated in days.Before they were defeatedthey would fight each others with tanks and different things also. This invasion happened because Hitler said it would bring ''livng space'' for the Germans. This impacted the world because Britian and France declared war against Germany because of the invasion which led to World War 2. -
German Blitzkrieg
Germany ruling for 2 years had not wanted to start a long war so they used the Blitzkrieg method. The way that the Germans wanted to defeat their opponents was to do short wars agaisnt them. They were able to defeat many countries but not Great Britian. -
Operation Barbarossa
This was a nickname that the Nazi had which was the invasion of Soviet Union during World War 2. The Germans occupied the areas that had more money. This was the crucial turning point in World War 2. Hitler launched Barbarossa because he knew that the people in Soviet Union would try to fight against him. This impacted because Soviet won the Germans even though many people died. -
Pearl Harbor
On this day Japanese planes attacked the United States Naval Base which was Pearl Harbor. 2,333 Americans diedthis day because of this attack. The attack happened because the Japanese spies were spying the US and got caught so they started attacking. After this attack America started talking about starting war against Japan. -
Wannsee Conference
January 20th,1942, the Nazi Party and Germany came together at a villa in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee to talk and coordinate the pracice of what they called the “Final Solution of Jewish Questions.” Reinhard allowed these Wannsee Conferences to inform and secure the support of from government ministries and other interested agencies relevant to the use of the “Final Solution.” He also wanted to reveal the party that Hitler himself had asked Heydrich and the RSHA with coordinating the action. -
Operation Gomorrah
July 24th,1943 Operation Gomorrah destroyed a great amount of the city of Hamburg, leaving 1 million people homeless and killing 40,000-50,000 innocent civilians.‘BomberHarris’ believed that a destructive attack on a symbolic target would push the Nazis into seeking a peace deal. -
D-Day
The battle of Normandy began June 6th, 1944. On that day 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces settled on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of heavily protected coast of Normandy’s region. The Allies imagined that it would be good if they invaded Normandy region because they were less well protected than around Calais. The length of the sea crossing made it a doubtful landing for the Allies. -
Battle of the Buldge
On this day, December 16th, 1944, the Germans launched the last leading of the war. The Germans attempted to push the Allied front line west northern France to northwestern Belgium. Hitler had convinced himself that the alliance between Britain, France and America in the western sector of Europe was not strong and that a major attack and defeat would break up the alliance. Therefore, he ordered a massive attack against what were primarily American forces. -
Operation Thunderclap
Operation thunderclap happened on December, 16th, 1945. Operation Thunderclap was the code for a cancelled operation planned in August 1944 but shelved and never carried out. This plan was meant to be a massive attack on Berlin in the belief that would possibly cause 220,000 catastrophes with 110,000 killed. -
The Battle of Iwo Jima
The Battle of Iwo Jima was an American amphibbions invasion of Iwo Jima, a key, island in the Bonin Chain. It was sparked by the desire of the American forces to have a base for damaged bomber planes to land. Three US marine divisions landed on the island in Febuary 1945. After a month of fighting, the marinees defeated the 23,000 Japanese troops. -
The Battle of Okihana
The Battle of Okihawa was the last of the Pacific Island Battles. The 82 day campaign involved 287,000 us forces and 130,000 Japanese. At state were air bases vital to the prejaked invasion of Japan. In the end, Japan was down 77,000 and the allies lost 14,000. -

VE day, or Victory in Europe day, was a day celebrated in honor of defeating the Nazis. May 8th 1945 mmarks the day that German troops throughout Europe finally surrenders. The troops realized this desicin when they did n9ot want to be taken as prisoner. More surrender documents were signed in Berlin and in eastern Germany. -

The dropping of the atmoic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan on Aug 6th 1945. President truman odered the bombs to he dropped to bring the war to a speedy end, haunting to prevent further American casualties. -
VJ Day
VJ day or victory over Japan Day was the day the announcement came that Japan had surrounded unconditionally to the allies, ending WW11 September 2nd was the day when Japan's formal surrender haooened on the Vss Missouri, in Tokyo Bay.
