Blitzkrieg
During Blitzkrieg, Germany overran the majority of Europe in a short span of time. Blitzkrieg used the force of powerful weapons such as tanks, planes, and artillery to force surrender upon the people. Blitzkrieg happened because Germany wanted to attack Poland. It caused many towns in Poland left on the ground in destruction.

Battle of Britain
German and British air forces went to war in the skies over the UK. The Royal Air Force defended the UK against large scale attacks by the German Air Force. Battle of Britain is said to be the first military campaign fought only by air forces.

Lend Lease Program
The Lend Lease Act provided the U.S. military aid to foreign nations during WWII. It authorized the president to to transfer weapons that the government paid and shipped it for the countries. It put the U.S. one step closer to entering the war.

Pearl Harbor
The Japanese wanted an empire, not peace. They wanted to expand the Asian empire, but only the U.S. stood in their way. The U.S. declared war on December 8th, 1941. In two hours of the war, 2403 were dead and 21 ships were damaged.

Bataan Death March
About 75,000 Filipino and American prisoners had to make a 65 mile march to prison camps. They were exposed to very harsh treatments at these camps. Masaharu was held accountable for starting this deadly march and was executed by a fire squad.
