    Implemented in the early stages of WW||, the blitzkrieg or flash war, was a strategy where the german forces would quickly invade with a large force to overwhelm the enemy. The blitzkrieg strategy was mainly used between 1839 and 1940 when attacking Norway, Denmark, and Poland along with a few others. The blitzkrieg was devastating to any enemy that wasn't prepared because it left no time for the enemy to build enough of a defense once it had started.
