    Germany, Italy, and Japan sign an official agreement called the Tripartite Pact. The main idea of the “axis powers” were to basically control the US’s involvement in the war, and if the USA did join the war they would have to fight in two oceans.

    the 1940 election, he was running against Wendell Willkie. FDR and Willkie was virtually the same person due to their thoughts and beliefs, but the most known of the two won. FDR was elected partly because of his leadership that could be seen as a positive seen during war.

    FDR and Winston Churchill met on the ship USS Augusta to discuss about the outcome of the war. It was there where the two signed the Atlantic Charter (a declaration of war) and discuss what the us gets from the war, their goals; collective security, disarmament, self determination, economic cooperation, freedom of the seas. We are now supporting the allies over the axis powers.
