WW 1 timeframe
WW1 started on July 28 1914 and it was ended in November 11 1918. The war lasted 1582 days. And it is known as “The war that changed everything” “The Great War”. -
The great migration
The great migration was a exodus of about 6 million African American between 1915-1970. They moved from the south to the north to escape from the racists. -
Lusitania
Lusitania was briefly the world largest passenger ship. The ship was sank by German U-boat 18 km off the southern coast of Ireland during WW1. 1198 passengers died from the attack and sinking. 128 American was included and that led the United States joining the war. -
Jaannette Rankin
Jeannette Rankin was the first women who was elected to Congress. She was elected again in 1940. The famous wods she said was “women can’t go to war, so I’m not letting anyone go to war” -
Selective service act
1917 the age who had to register for the selective service was 21-30. But after the US enter the war the age who had to register was increased to 18-45. -
Espionage Act
This was a law which was enactment on June 15 1917.
Basically the law made that it is a crime trying to avoid war. In 1919 Congress decided to repeal this law because this law is against of freedom of speech. -

The Bolshevik led by lenin ranch the coup d'Étata against the government, theu stormed the government and arrested the government for putting them selves in charge of Russian’s government. -

A global influenza killed 50-100 million people. Today it is called “the mother of all pandemics”. Some scientists say that it effected 1/3 of the world population. 2.5% people died from it. -
Wilson’s 14 points
The speech was given on 01/08/18. Wilson wanted to make sure that if the people were going to the war, they are going for the right reason. If they were going it’s for the peace when the war ends. -

This law was exetended the Espionage Act to cover the wide range to protect the speech and the expression of opinion. -

In 1919 Woodrow Wilson singed the treaty of Versailles. It was the first time president traveled Europe. -

The 19 th amendment granted women the right to vote after decades of organized protest. -

In 1929 about 70 % of the House in US had electric. 1/4 houses had washing machine and 70% had iron. -
