WW1

  • Assasination of Franz Ferdinand.

On June 28th of the year 1914, Franz Ferdinand was shot and assassinated. This was the main reason the war began. Because the Serbians that killed Franz Ferdinand were seemingly told to do so by the government, Austria-Hungary decided the best course of action was to counterattack. And because of the counterattack, Serbia had to call upon their ally Russia. This event led to more countries getting involved, thus starting the first World War.
