Hitler had a "secret meeting" with Austrian Prime Minister Kurt von Schuschnigg. At this meeting, Hitler insulted and threatned the Prime Minister. Hitler even demanded that Austria must become a part of Germany.

A new law was created that would force all Jews to have specific names that they classified as "Jewish first names". The Nazis decided that if a Jew did not have a name that was on their list of Jewish names, they would add Israel to all men's names and Sarah to all women's names.

Hitler said to the Reichstag that other nations were being hypocritical by saying that Germany was discriminating Jews. Hitler later went on to conquer all of Czechoslovakia.

Nazis transported several prisoners to a town on the Polish border called Gleiwitz. The prisoners were then dressed in Polish army iniforms and killed. The Nazis then claimed that they did it for retaliation because of a Polish "attack on Gleiwitz".

Heinrich Himmler stated that no Polish child would go past fourth grade in school. They would only teach them simple arithmeti, how to write their names, and the doctrine.

Germany had priviously conquered all of Western Europe except for France and Britain. At this date, France finally fell, which left just Britain in Western Europe.

Hitler declared war on the United States. This united three of the most powerful countries, Britain, Russia, and the US to go to war against Germany.
