Japanese Invasion of China
Military conflict that began the war between Japan and China up until 1945. A lot of conflicts between the countries were happening until one of them actually invaded the other. China won the war from Japan's surrender. -
Rape of Nanking
An episode of mass murder and rape committed by Japanese troops during an invasion of the Republic of China. Japan wanted to destroy and disgrace China. 50,000 to 300,000 dead left by Japan. -
German Blitzkrieg

Fall of Paris
Paris started to prepare for war because of the attack on Poland. Germany invaded Paris faster than they expected and was taken over easily. Germany occupied Paris until the end of the war. -
Pearl Harbor

Wannsee Conference
Meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany, held in Wannsee Berlin. The officials met to discuss the "Final Solution" to the "Jewish Situation". Bataan Death March
Japanese troops forced 60,000 to 80,000 American prisoners of war. They were trying to move the prisoners to load them onto trains to go to camps. Most of the prisoners died and the ones who did not just went to the camps. -
Battle of Midway
The decided battle for the war in the pacific which took place six months after Pearl Harbor. The United States needed to invade the bigger island and naval point for Japan to try to have a large point in the Pacific closer to Japan. The U.S. won the battle and took over. -
D-Day(Normandy Invasion)
Allied invasion of the beaches of Normandy, largest seaborne invasion in history. Happened to attack France which was occupied by Germany. The allies pushed forward and took back France. -
Battle of the Bulge
Germany's last attack on the western front. Germany had to protect itself from the invasion on Berlin which they were occupying. Germany failed and got overthrown. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
Major battle in the pacific in which the United States captured the island Iwo Jima from the Imperial Japanese Army. The United States needed to capture more islands closer to the mainland of Japan to try to have a land invasion. The American's won the island. -
Dropping of the Atomic Bombs
President Truman, trying to avoid large amounts of American casualties, decide to try to end the war quickly by dropping an atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. After the second atomic bomb, Japan surrendered very quickly, ending the war in the Pacific. -
Liberation of Concentration Camps
As the Allies advanced across Europe, they found concentration camps filled with sick and starving prisoners. The War in Europe had almost ended and the Allies needed to liberate the camps. They did that successfully with no interference. -
VE Day
The acceptance of Germany's surrender by the Allies. Germany was running very low on supplies, and had to surrender eventually. This marked the end of World War Two in Europe. -
VJ Day
The day where Japan officially surrendered to the United States. They probably did this to avoid getting their whole country nuked. The result completely ended World War Two around the world.
