Germany's invasion of Poland
Poland was that first invasion to the start of World War II. German military defeated the Polish army within weeks of invasion. With many tanks Germany saw the borders as an easy way to get through using a massive encirclement attack. After Warsaw surrendered, Britain and France declared war on Germany for invading Poland. German Blitzkrieg
The term Blitzkrieg means “lightning war” in German. The first try of the Blitzkrieg started in Poland. Germany used a mass force of fast moving modern weapons. Fall of Paris

Abandoning Paris the French are leaving it an open city to become taken by Germany. This allowed the Germans to enter France without any resistance, On June 22 an armistice is signed by both Germany an France to seize fire in France. As usual there is more added to the armistice. Germany now has taken two thirds of France and the French army is disbanded.

Battle of Britain

The fighting began with aircraft but did not last long because Germany was tired of the British that kept fighting back with more and more planes. Germany fought back one last time but still did not take out Britian's planes. Due to this Germany decides to postpone the invasion of Britian. Since Hitler did not get what he planned he moved on to attack the Soviet Union but still continued to bomb Britian throughout the war.

Operation Barbarossa

This invasion happened to be the largest military attack of World War II. After the invasion Soviets were said to have major consequences. Pearl Harbor

America would declare war on Japan the next day. Three days later Japan allies with Germany and Italy. Japan had also declared war on the United States. Battle of the Coral Sea

Liberation of concentration camps

The prisoners were dying of starvation and disease. To avoid getting caught Nazis would force the prisoners to move westward. As the Allies continued to liberate the camps Germany slowly began to fall apart. Most if not all of the camps were all becoming liberated and Germany had no way to stop the Allied troops.

VE Day

VE Day was a celebration for both Great Britian and the United States. They put out flags and banners to celebrate the victory over the German Nazis. On this day Nazis surrendered to the United States and Great Britian claiming their loss in World War II. The final cease-fire took place in Berlin. The Nazis surrendered to the Soviet Union the next day, May 9th. This would be the day that the Allies won the war. -
Dropping of atomic bomb in Nagasaki

Turman, the United States president, found out Japan was not going to surrender he decided to drop bombs on Japan. After the bombing there were on 28,000 buildings left when they began with 90,000. Many doctors and nurses had died in the bombing leaving the city with not a lot of medical help. Also many fires were set as a result of the bombing. The two bombs dropped in Japan would cause Japan to surrender and the war to be over.
