The Neutrality act imposed an embargo on selling arms to waring countries and declared a "cash and carry" policy. -
The Manhattan Project
The Manhattan Project was a very top-secret research and development program initiated by the United States during World War 2. This program would develop the first atomic bomb. This eventually led to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. -

Mobilization refers to the country transitioning factories into war preparation. Such as creating tanks instead of trains in privately owned companies. -

Propaganda
Propaganda was used widely around governmental and political regimes during WW2 to gain influence and power. It would also allow people to spread false and bad ideologies. One specific account was Rosie the Riveter which promoted females in the workforce. -
Attack On Pearl Harbor
An attack where the Japanese army would bomb Pearl Harbor which housed tons of military supplies for America. This event eventually led America into World War II. -
Opportunities/Economy
The war led to a large impact on the domestic and international economies. The war led to more government spending, specifically on military goods. Many goods were in short supply due to the war which led to coupons that were required for items to be purchased, as people could only buy a certain amount of items. -
American's Motivations for War
America wanted to defend democracy and human rights, as well as protect national security interests. The attack on Pearl Harbor also played a key role in America's entrance into World War 2. -
Executive Order 9066
Executive Order 9066 was signed by FDR in 1942. This order would relocate Japanese Americans due to suspicions during the war. People thought that Japanese Americans were giving inside info to Japan. -
Island Hopping
Island hopping was a military strategy where a country would secure surrounding areas of controlled enemy territory. This would allow the country to establish a chain of the controlled area that would allow for easy expansion. This tactic was used heavily by the allies in World War 2 -
D-Day
The goal of D-Day was to establish a foothold in Europe to begin the process of liberating Western Europe from Germany. The allied forces faced heavy resistance from German defenders. Overall the allies were able to secure this raid.
