During the invasion Japan captured 1 million japanese people and all of the major cities. The Japanese invaded China because they claim that China fired upon some of there troops. This was the first major invasion of World War 2. -
Germany's invasion of Poland
When the invasion happened 1.5 million German troops invaded Poland. German planes and U-boats also attacked Poland. Hitler claimed his invasion as a defensive action. This invasion really kicked of World War 2 and caused the USSR to go to war with them. -

This was one of the most decisive battles in World War 2. America was able to win the battle due to Ameica breaking Japanese codes. When America won the battle it was a major turning point in the war. It allowed the allies to move into a offensive position. -

This was the bombing of Germany by Great Britain. This was so effective due to new radar blocking technology called windows. These attacks devistated German moral and Hamburg. this also affected Hitler very signifigenty. -
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
Self armed Jewish combat organizations called the ZOB and ZZW fought back adgainst the Germans. The ZOB and ZZW lost and the Germans tried to send the Jews were sent to work camps. They could not because all of the ews went into hiding. The Germans destroyed the Jews hiding spots and sent all remaining Jews to Treblinka killing center. -
Allied Invasion of Italy
Montgomery 8th army invaded Italy. When they did that the Italion gonverment surrenderd. The Itallions joined the Allied powers to help push north to Germany. -
D-Day
On that day 156,000 allied soldiers landed on France's Normandy beaches. Some of the beaches were heavily fortified and some were not. This was the largest anphibious assult every in military history. That day marked the begining of the end for World War 2. -

Hitler took his tanks and pushed them 60 miles into Allied territory. The Germans hoped this would turn the war arond for them but because of lack of supplies the germans lost. This made the Allies even cloder to victory. -

This was the last and the biggest of the battles in the pacific. the battle was very important because if th eAllied powers won it would give them a place to launch an invasion on Japan. The Japanese had the island havily fortified.In winning the battle the Allied forces lost mant recources. -

During this event in history America droped 2 atomic bombs on hiroshima and Nagasaki. This effecivly ended World War 2 and started the Cold War. -

This is ths day that Japan surrenderd and the day the world official celebrated the end of World War 2.
