the invasion happened because the us needed a base near the Japanese coast. the us won the battle, and they captured mount suribachi. The effect of the battle was that the air fields of japan were shut down because the us won, and another effect is that the Japanese lost their bases which was important to them because it would help them scout for incoming allied bombers.

Japanese invasion of China
the conflict began because china refused the expansion of japanese influence in its territory, and because japan wanted to be an imperial power. Japan needed manchuria because its industrial heartland of china. because Germany invaded Poland it caused England and France to declare war on Germany, which caused the start of world war 2. Hitler invaded Poland because to him conquering Poland will bring Germany lebensraum which means living space to Germany. Germany and Russia signed a nazi-soviet pact between Russia, so that they could divide up Poland.

Warsaw ghetto uprising began after the invasion of Poland. German troops sent jews to Warsaw ghetto. Surviving ghetto residents were sent to concentration camps or killing centers. If any prisoner tried to escape the camp, they were immediately shot by a soldier.

German Blitzkrieg
Blitzkrieg tactics required the concentration of offensive weapons. It happened because the British wanted to send their air force to bomb targets inside Germany but were persuaded not to by the French who feared German reprisal. Many blitzkriegs result in a success which makes expansion possible, and things easier to achieve. Germany first tried the blitzkrieg in Poland.

Germany launched an invasion in France, after hitlers invasion of Poland this created a tense period. Britain tried to convince France to fight and to not give upon fighting the nazis. The battle of okinawa is a couple of battles that were fought in the Ryukyu islands, which is centered in the island of Okinawa. The cause of the battle was that it was a plan america had for winning the war in the far east. Dropping of the atomic bombs
Truman decided to bomb japan because he believed it was the only way for japan to surrender and to save american lives. Truman dropped a bomb on Hiroshima , and the second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.The dropping of these bombs is what made Japan surrender and end the war.

V-J day
Victory over japan day which is known as V-J day. the Japanese government accepted Allied surrender terms on August 14, 1945.and as soon as the news of Japan’s surrender was announced, celebrations were made across the United States. Britain announced that its official V-J Day would be the next day, August 15, 1945. There were many celebration in new york times square.

Battle of the bulge
Germany wanted to split allied armies with blitzkrieg throughout the ardennes to Antwerp region of Belgium, France and Luxembourg. It was intended to cause a problem between the us and british armies in France, and recapture the port of Antwerp to deny the allies use of the port facilities.
it resulted in an allied victory. Germans did not reach their goal. the ardennes operation caused a lot of losses and set back the allied invasion of Germany by weeks. Germanys reservers luftwaffe is gone
