    The Japanese invasion of China was the Second Sino-Japanese War, which was a military conflict between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. It happened as a result of Japan trying to increase its imperial power. As an outcome, the US bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki causing Japan to surrender.

    The US, on this day, dropped two bombs, one on Hiroshima and another on Nagasaki. They did this in hopes of quickly ending the war and to avoid more casualties of allied forces. After the bombs were dropped, Japan finally surrendered.
