The Thirty Years War, was a series of wars fought by European nations. It started in, 1618 over an attempt by the king of Bohemia to force Catholicism throughout his land. Protestant nobles rebelled, and by the 1630s most of Europe was at war. -
Charles The 1st is overthrown
Charles the 1st was monarch of ireland, england, and scottland.He imposed taxes which the parlement did not pass. Charles belived in the divie right of kings. Which many people did not like. After he was defeated in 1645, he surrendered to a Scottish force that eventually handed him over to the English Parliament. He was tried and exucuted in 1649. -
