German Invasion of Polland
September 1, 1939. Germany invaded Polland and with in weeks had taken downt the Polish army. 3,000 tanks and planes went through along the border breaking down the Polish defences.
September 3, 1939, Britian and France declared war on Germany to keep standing by their guarantee to Polland's borders. The Soviets did not let this slide, they attacked eastern Poland on September 17, 1939. -

Germany began an invasion on the Soviet Union. Controlled by Germany, Polland Romania and Finland deployed some 4.5 million troops to attack. Germany had signed an agression act, but this merely gave each side time to prepae for war. Germany lost 775,00 men when the great "Gerneral Winter" came and put the Germana to a halt. In addition 800,00 Soviet soldiers had been killed with the exceptional 6 million wounded or missing. -
Pearl Harbor
December 7,1941 Japanese airplanes flew over head to Hawaii to drop bombs on the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. This date will forever live on in history as one of the greatest tragidies in history. The Japanese planes dropped torpedoes and bombs destroying several ships. Japan only lost 29 planes. The U.S. was enraged and discovered they had a taste for revenge. -
