Theodore Roosevelt's presedental life
Theodore Roosevelt was the president after John F Kennedy was assassinated. He was the president from 1901 to 1909. He made life better for America and workforce. He also started national parks and the park ranger force. Over all Roosevelt was in my opinion the best president. -
Election of 1912
The election of 1912 is like no other in all of history. William Taft got the election for the republicans. Roosevelt got so mad because he wanted to run for the republicans. So over night he made his own group called the progressives. People didn't like it and one guy even shot Roosevelt in the chest when he was making a speech, but he just kept on speaking. People stated to like him, but when the election came since the republicans vote split, Woodrow Wilson won for the democrats. -
Sinking of the R.M.S Lusitania
The Lusitania was a US passenger and supply ship in the 1915's. The Germans one day decided to shoot the ship down with a submarine. This was because they didn't know if Britain was using the US flag as disguise. The U.S.A got made at this act and made a rule that unless they had reason the Germans could not shoot us down. This act was called Unrestricted submarine warfare. The Germans didn't like it and shot down three more of our ships. -
Zimmerman Telegram
This is when Germany sent a telegram to Mexico saying that they would help take over America. They said that Mexico could have the connecting states in the united states. America heard about this and got mad. This is one reason that we declared war on germany -
The Start of World War 1 for the United States
The start of World War 1 happened in 1914 when Archduke Francis was assassinated. Later in the war one of Germany's U-boats sunk one of our passenger ships. This and the Zimmerman telegram which told Mexico to attack us brought the USA into the battle. President Woodrow Willison announced that The USA would join the war on April 6, 1917. Later after we prepared we went in to help the allied powers. -
19th ammendment
Woodrow Wilson was president when this was made. It allowed women to vote. Many people wanted this and there dream came true. The suffrage movement also helped it come true. It was a group of women who protests how they couldn't vote.
