From 1935 to 1939, Golding worked as a writer, actor, and producer with a small theater in an unfashionable part of London, paying his bills with a job as a social worker. When he often enjoyed lots of theater,Shakespeare and Greek tragedy. -
Marriage
Golding was engaged to Molly Evans, a woman from Marlborough, who was well liked by both of his parents. However, he broke off the engagement and married Ann Brookfield, an analytical chemist, on 30 September 1939. Which didn't make his parents very happy at all because of the disobedience. -

The five years Golding spent in the navy (from 1940 to 1945) made an enormous impact. This showed him the cruelness of the world and so many tragedy ,He had lost rationalism . He felt this was all almost a gruesome inspiration to think and display the dark side and corruption of mankind. -
Lord of the flies
In Lord of the Flies, which was published in 1954, Golding combined that perception of humanity with his years of experience with schoolboys. Although not the first novel he wrote, Lord of the Flies was the first to be published after having been rejected by 21 publishers. It helped show the savageness and what people would do to survive. This was a very controversial release but still a very important book for literature. -
Death
Golding died in Cornwall in 1993 at the age of 81 from a heart attack. Leaving his legacy of his many book like his most popular lord of the flies and The Inheritors (1955),
Pincher Martin (1956),Free Fall (1959) and varouis other books and his wife and his two children(, David (born September 1940) and Judith (born July 1945).)that he leaves behind and joins his parents .
