When will my child talk?

  • 0-6 months

    Your baby will associate sounds. They will also cry.

  • 4-6 months

    Your baby will sigh and start babbling.

  • 7-12 months

    Their babbling will start tho sound more like words. They will start tho understand gestures. At 12 months is usually when they say their first word.

  • 13-18 months

    Words build slowly, just a few words a month. Kids seem to prefer nouns at first, then add verbs and adjectives. They love the word no.

  • 19-24 months

    They learn about 9 words a day. They might even be stringing 2our 3 words together.

  • 25-36 months

    Your child starts to say: when or why. They learn that no can mean, don't or not. They start too tell short stories. Your child may know about 200 words now.
