Japan was eager to be an industrial and military power but lacked resources.For this reason, it expanded to other countries and Manchuria.Also, japan wanted to break out of Manchuria and dominate China itself. Ribbentrop/Molotov pact
A non-aggression treaty between the Soviet's and Germany to divide Poland into two equal parts without fighting. Later on Hitler violates this pact and takes the USSR’s side of Poland & invades Russia. Germany wanted to split Poland with Russia because of its vast resources and land. Also Hitler’s invasion and defeat of the USSR was Hitler's ultimate ambition. In effect this allowed the Soviet's to conquer most of Eastern Europe.

Germany's Blitzkrieg (1939-1940)
Blitzkrieg is a military tactic used by Germany or in other words “ lightning war”. it was first used in 1939, throughout 1940 and twice in 1941.Blitzkrieg is designed to create disorganization among enemy forces through the use of mobile forces and locally concentrated firepower. Germany used blitzkrieg on Poland, Scandinavia, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, and France. This tactic impacted Germany in increasing their victories.

Hitler signed an agreement with Russia,called “the German-soviet nonaggression pact" it is a secret agreement to invade and split up Poland.Hitler then violated the pact invading Russia’s side of Poland. Fall of Paris
German forces invaded areas of France pushing the U.K & French forces back to the sea. Operation Gomorrah
An aerial bombing campaign that occurred in the Hamburg’s Theater of Operations. The RAF, RCAF, and USAAF joined efforts to create an “around the clock” bombing mission. D-Day (Normandy Invasion)
Allied forces invaded German forces on the beach landings in Normandy. Once the beach was secured the supplies & armor began to land. Battle of the bulge
Hitler’s plan was to launch a massive attack that would destabilize the allies & take the Antwerp port, which major supplies are received for the allies. Potsdam declaration
The Potsdam conference is when Britain, Russia, and the U.S agreed on terms of Japanese Surrender. This declaration was one of the terms to end World War II. Japan had two choices either to reject the Declaration and continue the war or open the door to surrender. However they chose neither. This affected the Japanese because the U.S dropped the first atomic bomb on them. Which resulted in the immediate surrender of japan.

Dropping of atomic bombs
U.S air force dropped the first deployed atomic bomb on Hiroshima and three days later on Nagasaki in japan. President Truman was discouraged by the Japanese’s response to the Potsdam Conference's demand for unconditional surrender. This made the decision to use the atomic bomb to end the war; in order to prevent the United States in invading Japan. This resulted in the immediate surrender of Japan and the end of WW2.

Bombing of Hiroshima
The first atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, Japan, by the U.S. This bomb was called 'little boy', it was the first nuclear weapon used.
