Otto Van Bismarck was born northwest of Berlin, was responsible for transforming a collection of small German states into the German empire, He attended a prestigious school in Berlin, then he went to a University . He then entered the civil service. For nearly a decade, he helped his father manage the family estates. This was Important to World War 1 because Otto Van Bismarck established estates in Germany, creating a Better government. -

There was a big rivalry between Germany and Britain. Increased military and naval rivalry led to Both Parties Expecting War, before World War 1, Both Germany, and Britain's Army were evolving. The Army of Britain, and Germany soon doubled form the 1870's - 1914. Germans came up with the battleship, so they were ready for war, if it was to happen. The Dual Alliance treaty, signed by Germany and Austria-Hungary, promised aid to each other in the event of an attack by Russia. The Dual Alliance was a defensive alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary, which was created by treaty on October 7, 1879. They allied together so they would not be alone, without aid incase of an attack.

The Morocco Crisis of 1905
The Morocco crisis of 1905 arose out of the dispatch of the German gunboat Panther to Agadir on July 1. This action was the request of German firms in Agadir for protection in the disordered state of the country. Germans wanted to break up the triple Allegiance. This Event is significant because imperialism was growing through European Countries, and European countries seeked to colonized other. -

On this day in 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife Sophie are shot to death by a Bosnian Serb nationalist group called the Black Hand.During an official visit to the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo. The killings sparked a chain of events that led to the outbreak of World War I by early August 1914. The Serbia Nationalist who killed Archduke, and Sophia was Gavrilo Principe.

The reason for the war was that the Germans passed the neutral state Belgium, which angered the British, and caused them to defend there territory, which led to the War. This War was significant to World War 1 because if this spark would not of happened, then the British would not have fought in the war, and it wouldn't be called the "World War"
