Original 13 Colonies Were Founded
This was when we broke off from Britain and became our own Country. The colonies were Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennyslvania, New Jersey, New York, Conneticut, Rhode Island, Massachusets, and New Hampshire. -
Treaty of Paris
It was negotiated between the United States and Great Britain. It ended the revolutionary war and helped Americans realize there independence. We gained the land to the West of the original 13 colonies. -
Louisiana Purchase
The Louisiana Purchase treaty was dated April 30, 1803 and signed off on May 2,1803. By December France transfered the 827,000 square miles of land to the United States. -
Florida Treaty
The Florida Treaty is also known as The Adams Onís Treaty of 1819, and the Transcontinental Treaty. The treaty was between the U.S. and Spain, we gained the land of Florida. -
Texas Annexation
On April 12, 1844 the Texas Annexation was signed, it was admitted as the 28th state. -
Oregon Treaty
The Oregon Treaty existed from August 14, 1848, until February 14, 1859. It was admitted to the Union as the state of Oregon.
