Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights consist of ten amendments that express our rights. It was created because the goverment had noticed the lack of ones rights. It consists of rights such as, the right of speech, press, religion, petition, and asembly.

Lousiana Purchase
The Lousiana Purchase was the purchase of the mid-section of the continent by America, from Napoleon. It is known as one of the greatest deals in American history. The land was sold at two to three cents per acre.

Lewis and Clark - Start
This is when Lewis and Clark headed out on their expedition. The start of dicovering America. The start of all the navigation, expansion and construction of America. -

Lewis and Clark were hired to explore the west of America. On their journeys they discovered over 300 speicies of plants and animals. They mapped and journaled their journeys to help America grow and thrive. -
Lewis and Clark - End
This when Lewis and Clark ended their journey and came back home. They experinced many things. When they came back they shared all their experince and knowledge of the West with America. -
Flordia becomes a State
The Spanish couldn't govern what is now called Flordia. There were raids from Flordia to America. These were made by free blacks that took refuge there. When they handed over Flordia they also defined a boundry between Mexico and America.

Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act started within the Cherokee Nation and when American gold miners discovered deposits of gold in their rivers. The Americans started to force Indians out of their homes. This eventually lead to the Trail of Tears.

Trail of Tears Start
This is right after the Indian Removal Act. It was when they started packing up their things, and when it became bitter winter. However, the Indians were able to organize their own movement due to some negotiating.

This when the Americans kicked out the Cherokee nation. They suffered bitter cold winter. They also suffered many deaths. Not only deaths in people but also in their culture. They knew moving would be the only way to perserve their culture. -
The Trail of Tears End
This is when the Cherokee nation had finally reach their destantion. However, many indians have died. They rebuilt their nation from the ground up. Some of the culture is still perserved today.

Mexican American War Start
The Mexican American War was started with skirmishes along the Rio Grande. The Americans wanted to expand even more. This is mostly due to the fact that the Americans thought it was "Manifest Destiny".

Mexican American War
The Mexican American War held many battles. It also included tons of bloodshed. It was mainly about Texas's indpendance and whether or not it should become a state. Texas would off balance the amount of slave states to free black states. -
Mexican American War End
By the end of this war America had gained one third of Mexico's territory. This inculdes California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. Although, the war ended peacefully. The treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the war with peace.

Transcontinetial Railroad Completed
At last, after 6 years, an enormous railroad was laid from sea to shining sea. The last two tracks were connected with a ceromony. Transportation was now reduced to weeks instead of months.
