There was an invasion by the Barbarian tribe. The fall of the empire happened mainly because of the military loss. They have had troubles with them for a while. Centuries later they then attcked and the Roman Empire fell. -

It is often called the Midevil period.There were no great arts, scientists, or accomplishments. Basically the beginning of a time period between two bigger time periods. Not really anything positive. -

Series of religious wars. Recovering the land from the Muslim rule. This also applied to other church sanctioned campaigns. -

Renaissance
The birth of cultures, arts, political, and economic beliefs. Strongly influenced by art (Michaelangelo, Leonardo da vinci). Philosophy and literature were included as well. Learning classical values and classical philosophies. -

Protestant Reformation
Goal was to reform and practice the beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church. Some leaders wanted to extend their power through the church but some didn't support the idea. Weakened the older era but signaled a new beginning for European history. -
Age of Enlightenment
Intellectual and Philosophical movement. Radically dominated the worlds different aspects on the Century of Philosophy. Alternative title, Age of Reason. -
French Revolution
Time of social and political differences. People overthrew the monarchy and took over the government. Lasted 10 years and was very bloody. The Europeans today really believe that the French Revolution was really important because it shapes who they are today. -
Industrial Revolution
Manufacturing time period. Mostly was Great Britain working. A lot of child labor and hard times. People were really struggling during this time. -
World War I
Very massive global war. Began because of the assassination of Archeduke Ferdinand. Central Powers fought the Allied Powers. -
World War 2
Horrific 2nd global war. Takeover of Adolf Hitler and his aggressive army. Everyone declared war on Hitler after the ureasonable attack on Poland. -
Nato/Warsaw Pact
Was once known as the Treaty of Friendship. North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Military alliance of communist nations in Europe. -
Creation of the Union
Many treaties have formed the creation of the union. All serving a valuable purpose (steel communities, energy communties).They have economic and political purposes to keep peace between all of the countries. -
Collapse of the Soviet Union
Oil and gas revenue dropped dramatically. Soviet Union separated into 15 different countries. Evidence of capitalism over socialism. -
Fall of the Berlin Wall
Series of revolutions. Was used to block Poland and Hungary. A chain reaction caused the wall to fall. Paved the way for German unification.
