Childhood
His parents divorced when he was a young boy and this incident deeply affected him. In some respects, we can see this "ununited family" played out in his work.
He graduated from St. John's School in Houston in 1987. As a school student, he developed an interest in writing and movie-making, and made silent films on his father's Super 8 camera, starring his brothers and friends. -

National Society of Film Critics Award
In 1999, he won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Screenplay (Shared with Owen Wilson) for the film ‘Rushmore’. He also won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Director for the same movie. -
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Royal Tenenbaums was a 2001 movie about three siblings, all gifted in their own way. They have experienced success but are distant from each other. When their father announces that he is dying they all reunite.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is a 2004 comedy-drama about a man in the profession of Oceanography, trying to exact revenge on a mythical shark the kill his partner. He brings along his estranged wife, a journalist, and a man that maybe his son. This mostly crew plan their attack but it is not without a little unrest.

The Grand Baptist Hotel
The Grand Budapest Hotel was a 2014 comedy-drama written and directed by Wes Anderson. It explores tragedy, war, fascism, nostalgia, friendship, and loyalty. The story follows Zero, a lobby by that works at the Grand Budapest Hotel and Gustov who inherits a priceless painting after the murder of the owner. The police suspect that Gustov has committed the crime.

Isle of Dogs
Isle of Dogs was a 2018 stop motion film set in a dystopian near-future Japan. The story follows a pack of dogs that have been banished to this land. A boy named Atari who is looking for his dog after it gets banished to the land because of a new canine flu and comes across this pack of dogs led by a dog called Chief.
